Race: Camping World RV Sales 200
Location: The Milwaukee Mile
Date: June 20th, 2008

NOTES:
  • This week’s race truck for the event at The Milwaukee Mile is Chassis No. 5-118.  This is a brand-new truck to the No. 5 Toyota Tundra team.  The truck was tested two weeks ago in Florida in preparation for Friday night’s event.
  • Riding Down the road… Mike Skinner and his wife, Angie, have spent the past three weeks on their motor coach traveling from race to race and doing some sightseeing on the side.  They have visited team owners Bill and Gail Davis’ ranch, and they spent time in West Virginia and Indiana.
  • Moving On Up… Skinner sits in the sixth position in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship standings.  He is a mere 73 points out of the lead.  His points status comes on the strength of six consecutive top-10 efforts.
  • Skinner’s Got Speed… In the last four races, Skinner has not started worse than second, including two pole positions.  Skinner holds the Craftsman Truck Series record for poles (45).
  • Listen and watch… The Camping World RV Sales 200 is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. EST Friday, June 20.  It will broadcast on SPEED (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).

Mike Skinner on Racing at The Milwaukee Mile:

“I am excited about this weekend.  We are taking one of my favorite trucks, and I know the team is excited about the opportunity to get back to Milwaukee.  [Crew chief] Jeff Hensley and all the guys on this Toyota Tundra team have really been working hard on these trucks to make them as fast as they can.  We have made some really big gains in the last couple of weeks, and I am confident we will have a strong showing in Milwaukee.  Milwaukee is a fun track because it is flat, and you have to really float it into the corners.  There is very little room for error, so you have to be on your game all day long in order to have a strong finish.”
