Race: Camping World RV Sales 200
Location: The Milwaukee Mile
NOTES:
- This week’s race truck for The Milwaukee Mile is Chassis No. 22-95. Chassis No. 22-95 last saw action in 2007 at [Loudon] New Hampshire International Speedway, where it finished in the 13th position.
- Rookie Stripe… Michael Annett will make his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start Friday night. The 21-year-old driver practiced and qualified the No. 22 Toyota Tundra two weeks ago at Texas Motor Speedway, but he has yet to see racing action behind the wheel of a Toyota Tundra.
- Another Pilot... The No. 22 Toyota Tundra will fly the Pilot Travel Center colors Friday night in Milwaukee. Pilot Travel Centers are located throughout the United States and are the leading travel center for both truckers and families.
- Moving on up…. The No. 22 Toyota Tundra team has been working its way back into the top 10 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Owners’ point standings. After a strong third-place finish last weekend at Michigan International Speedway, the No. 22 team sits in 12th place, only 115 points out of the fifth position. The team has one win, two top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes to its credit.
- Tested and Approved… Annett and BDR’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular Dave Blaney tested at The Milwaukee Mile last week in the No. 22 Toyota Camry. Annett spent two days at the one-mile flat track helping the No. 22 team prepare for the upcoming race at New Hampshire International Speedway.
- Listen and Watch… The Camping World RV Sales 200 is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. ET Friday, June 20. It will broadcast on SPEED (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).
Michael Annett on racing at The Milwaukee Mile:
“I cannot wait to get behind the wheel this weekend. This is the opportunity I have been waiting for my entire life. Bill Davis Racing has the three best teams in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series garage, and I can’t wait to get in that No. 22 truck and go. [Crew chief] Doug Wolcott and all the guys on this No. 22 team have shown they have what it takes to win. They have had so much speed this year and can get it done on pit road. Having teammates like Johnny Benson and Mike Skinner puts me at such an advantage over the rest of the rookie class. They are two of the most talented drivers in the garage and are so willing to help. I am ready and am looking forward to Friday.”
