NOTES:
  • This week’s race truck for the event at the Dover International Speedway is Chassis No. 5-97.  This is the same truck Skinner ran last year at Dover en route to a seventh place finish.
  • Pole Winner…  Skinner captured the pole at The Monster Mile last year and is looking to try to accomplish this feat again as he tries to capture his first pole this year, this weekend at Dover.
  • Catching Up…  After encountering bad luck during the first few races of the 2008 season, Skinner and his No. 5 Toyota Tundra are back on the right path.  Skinner is a mere 19 points out of the top-five and just 83 points out of the lead in the Craftsman Truck Series Championship standings.
  • Listen and watch… The AAA Insurance 200 is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. EST Friday, May 30.  It will broadcast on SPEED (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).

Mike Skinner on Racing at the Dover International Speedway:

“I like racing at Dover.  It is a very challenging track to run on and you never know what is going to happen there.  We seem to have this Tundra on the right track now, so hopefully all of our bad luck is gone and we can come out of Dover with some big points.  This is one of the closest point’s battles I have ever seen at this point in the year, so Dover should be very interesting to watch.  We are focused on finishing within the top-10 right now at each race, so hopefully we can keep things going in that direction.”
