NOTES:
- This week’s race truck for the event at the Mansfield Motorsports Park is Chassis No. 5-76. This is the same truck Mike Skinner drove at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway earlier this year.
- Pole Winner… Skinner captured the pole at the half-mile Ohio track last year and has every intention of doing so again this year.
- Welcome Home… Angie Skinner, Mike’s wife and business manager, will be at her home track this weekend. Angie grew up two hours from Mansfield and worked in Columbus, Ohio, at CBS Radio before moving south to pursue a career in NASCAR.
- Personal Best… After his 10th-place finish at Lowe’s Motor Speedway last weekend, Skinner embarked on a career best when he captured his 100th career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series top-10 finish. The feat came in his 160th start.
- Catching Up… After encountering bad luck during the first few races, Skinner has his No. 5 Toyota Tundra are back on the right path. Skinner is a mere two points out of the top-10 and 59 points out of the top-five in the Craftsman Truck Series Championship standings.
- Listen and watch… The Ohio 250 is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. EST Saturday, May 24. It will broadcast live on SPEED (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).
