Marty Gaunt, Vice President of Bill Davis Racing, was born in London, England, and grew up just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  Motorsports was in his blood at an early age, and success wasn’t far behind.

Mark Chambers was introduced to motorsports at an early age.  As a child, Chambers went the local racetrack with his grandfather, who raced at the local dirt tracks in and around their hometown of Bowling Green, Ind.  Chambers’ family spent endless hours preparing their cars to race each Friday and Saturday night.

Mike Brown has been a part of Bill Davis Racing since 1991 and has been an integral part of BDR’s growth as well as it’s successes.  Brown’s technological know-how, motorsports experience and business skills have helped make him a perfect fit for the BDR organization for over a decade.  

Though one of the newest members of the Bill Davis Racing (BDR) organization, Jim Thomas is no stranger to racing.  As it is with many of those involved in racing, it might seem Thomas was almost destined to become part of the industry. 

Tommy Baldwin Jr.’s career in racing was probably born on the same day he was.  The son of a veteran racer, Baldwin grew up around the short tracks of the Northeast watching and later helping his father earn more than 250 career racing victories, including six wins in the NASCAR Modified Series.

Terry Elledge is entering his 10th season as head of the engine department at Bill Davis Racing.  He oversees his fellow engine builders with one goal—to push the best motors in the NASCAR Cup Series garages out the doors of BDR.

Every NASCAR Nextel Cup team should have a guy like Lee Robertson.  Robertson shares with his fellow Arkansas natives, Bill and Gail Davis, the satisfaction that has stemmed from each successful stage of Bill Davis Racing’s expansion.  He has played a key role in the substantial growth of the BDR operations.

To be successful in NASCAR, a team must be on top of its game. Even the fastest pit crews on pit road require a support group back at the shop that is always one step ahead of the competition. Marc Fryar is the man that makes sure Bill Davis Racing is always one step ahead.

Jeff Hensley returns as crew chief of the No. 5 Toyota Tundra in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with driver Mike Skinner.  Hensley has worked in NASCAR for more than 25 years and is hoping that his longevity in the sport will help put the No. 5 truck in both victory lane and the championship hunt in 2008.

Doug Wolcott enters his eighth year at Bill Davis Racing as crew chief of the No. 22 Toyota Tundra driven by rookie Phillip McGilton.  He is prepared for the challenge of leading a talented young driver to success in one of NASCAR’s premier divisions.

Trip Bruce began his racing career at the age of 18 racing Late Models and Grand Stocks at Southside Speedway in Richmond, Va.  It was during this time that Bruce became acquainted with car owner Don Beverly.  In 1989, he joined Beverly’s team as a fabricator and mechanic.

Like many boys, young Joe Lax Jr. looked for every opportunity he could find to race things with his friends.  Sleds, marbles and even each other - it didn’t matter.  But what excited Lax most was tearing things apart, examining the mechanics and trying to put them back together.
